With winter on the way and energy bills still a worry for so many families, I want to flag a brilliant local event.
Unity in Community, based at 501 Endike Lane here in University Ward, is holding its HEAT energy-help launch on Wednesday 19 November 2026, from 10am to 2pm. The event is all about practical help with energy — advice on bills, support schemes and staying warm for less.
Unity in Community does outstanding work for people across north Hull, and I am planning to be there on the day to meet residents and hear what support people need most this winter.
