Endike Lane is the beating heart of University Ward, and 2026 has brought real investment to it.

In January, Hull City Council began vital carriageway repairs and resurfacing on Endike Lane — between Keswick Gardens and Greenwood Avenue — alongside work on Cottingham Road and Hall Road. Anyone who drives, cycles or walks the lane knows how badly the surface needed attention.

On top of that, the council’s £6 million Community Highstreets project has moved into its second phase, covering the south side of Endike Lane between Langtoft Grove and Moy Court, with public engagement events held in March to gather residents’ ideas.

My priority now is making sure the promises turn into pavements, crossings and shopfronts that local people are proud of — and that traders and residents are kept informed at every step. If there is a stretch of road or pavement near you that needs attention, tell me about it.
