Standing up for
University Ward.

On Thursday 7 May 2026 I was Labour’s candidate for University Ward in the Hull local elections. I didn’t win. But I met a lot of good people on those doorsteps, and I’m ready to stand again at the next election.

My plan for the ward

Five promises, one community.

Road safety.

Speeding, parking problems and poor road markings.

On the doorstep

Endike Lane & Tickton Grove.

I spent a lot of time on Endike Lane and Tickton Grove, knocking on doors and asking people what bothered them most. The state of the roads and the potholes came up over and over, along with housing repairs and safety. I told people I would push to get them dealt with, and plenty of them backed me.

Diana Johnson MP came out with me on several campaigns, and I appreciate her support.
